Wholesale firelighters: preparing an enquiry that can be priced
A useful quotation starts with a clearly defined product, quantity and destination. Stating these together reduces follow-up questions and makes it easier to compare offers on the same basis.
Specify the variant and unit
List each required format separately: 40, 80, 200 or 2400 cubes, or the 180-cube tube. State whether quantities mean retail packs, cartons, bundles or pallets. Add the EAN where available. “Ten firelighters” is ambiguous and may refer to ten cubes, packs or cartons; write the full unit instead.
Give delivery information
Include the destination country and postcode, preferred date and contact person. Describe unloading restrictions or the need to arrange an appointment. Do not assume that a website in your language establishes delivery availability to your address. Freight and delivery conditions should be confirmed for the particular enquiry and quantity.
Ask comparable commercial questions
Request price per stated unit, applicable taxes, transport cost, payment terms and quotation validity. Confirm current availability and pack configuration. If documentation or labels are needed for resale, identify the exact requirements and variant before ordering. Do not treat old dimensions or pallet counts as a confirmed current delivery arrangement.
Review the offer before confirming
Check that each line matches your requested product and unit. Distinguish pack count from cube count, and goods value from the final delivered cost. Resolve discrepancies before confirming. PODPAL.PL provides a downloadable product table and email enquiry template; both help organise the request, while the actual order terms come from the quotation.
Frequently asked questions
Does sending the email template place an order?
The template is an enquiry. You complete and send it in your own email application; pricing and order conditions still need to be agreed.
